We all know Michelle T can act and it shows as always in this film as well as in every film she does. This movie definitely has some stuff going for it, but for my tastes it's a little too strange. Formulaic and clichéd, The Scribbler is an overly contrived supernatural thriller. When a young woman with dissociative identity disorder is brought to some kind of madhouse, people start killing themselves for no apparent reason. Far too many scenes appeared to be repeating, and there was too much extension on many scenes simply to pass time. It's refreshing to see a film that so purely encompasses a highly intelligent but damaged mind.

They obviously see the world as all black and white. which is the title character. I knew that I'd eventually watch it, but it's not something that I needed to go out of my way to see. Director John Suits seems more concerned with plying eyeballs with creepy atmospherics, showy visual effects and sexy interludes than with propulsive pacing or roiling tension. It’s also hugely fun! Let me be the one to say yes, if you enjoyed the crow you will like this. I’d figure that maybe I’d stumble into something great. I wish people gave a film like this a shot, we need more people taking risks with the old and tired superhero tropes. Also, the plot was very thin and only really does something with it in the last act with a twist that can be seen from a mile away.
